7-PERCENTAGE POINT LEAP
VILLAR POSTS BIGGEST GAIN IN PULSE ASIA TRUST SURVEY
Of all the public officials polled for trust rating, Senate President
Manny Villar posted the biggest gain as the most trusted public
figure with a 7-percentage point leap from March to July 2008.
Pulse Asia’s latest trust rating survey showed Villar galloping
from 58-percent trust rating in March 2008 to 65 percent trust rating
in July 2008, or an improvement of 7-percentage points.
Villar’s trust improvement is the biggest compared to all
public figures included in the survey, which is topped by Sen. Francis
Escudero with a 75-percent trust rating in July 2008, from a 74-percent
rating in March this year.
Second from top is Sen. Loren Legarda with 71 percent, down from
76 percent; and third is Sen. Manuel Roxas II with 69 percent, from
67 percent.
Completing the top seven are: Sen. Panfilo Lacson on fifth with
56 percent (from 61 percent last March); Vice-President Noli de
Castro on sixth place with 53 percent (from 49 percent); and; Sen.
Jamby Madrigal, whose name was included on the survey list for the
first time, took the seventh place with a trust rating of 44 percent.
